DEREK TANGYE BRAND NEW HARDBACK 1ST EDITIONS

After Derek's death in 1996 his publishers decided to get rid of the last copies of two of his titles. Firstly, though, they offered them for sale to his Executors but buying books was outside their remit.

Malcolm and Anne Sutton therefore agreed to buy the books personally, to rescue them for Derek's readers in the future. A few copies are still available:

MONTY'S LEAP 1993 (published price £15.99)

THE STORY OF THE MINACK CHRONICLES 1994 (£15.99)
Includes "Time Was Mine", Derek's account of his world trip in 1938/39, as well as the first two of his Minack Chronicles, "A Gull on the Roof" and "A Cat in the Window". Derek dedicated this book to Malcolm and Anne as his wedding gift to them.

Both of the above are available at £18.

THE WORLD OF FOREVER
This memorial anthology was published in 1997 (£12.99) and contains previously unpublished photographs and sketches. Again, the last copies were offered by the publishers to Malcolm and Anne. This title is available at £15.

In July 2000 TANGYE, a biography of Derek and Jeannie, was published by David Power, a writer and broadcaster from Sussex. The hardback edition (ISBN number is 1 85776 478 1) sold out, but a paperback edition has now been published.

SHADOWS was the title chosen by Derek for the book on which he was working up to his death. He had drafted only rough notes but they do give a unique insight into his craft as an author.
